Bring Miller Time to the Hot Shop! Museum of Glass Launches Crowd-funding Campaign Tacoma, Wash. – On Wednesday, April 1, Museum of Glass, will launch a crowd-funding project through power2give, an ArtsFund platform, to raise donations for the next installment of the Hot Shop Live Show! featuring artist John Miller. power2give is an online cultural marketplace designed to connect donors with projects they are passionate about. Specifically, the site allows cultural organizations to post and promote projects in need of funding and invites donors to contribute directly to the projects that are most intriguing to them. The Hot Shop Live Show! is an expansion of the typical Hot Shop experience, adding both entertainment and educational content, such as live music and professional commentary. In this episode, the focus will be on Americana art. The show hopes to feature muscle cars, country-rock music, and car-inspired art, which the public can help fund through the power2give campaign. • The project will run from April 1 – May 31 on power2give.org • The goal is to raise $7,500 • Each donation is matched dollar for dollar • There are various donor rewards based on donation size • All funds raised go toward the Hot Shop Live Show! • The Hot Shop Live Show! will be held June 18 at 7pm • The show and the Museum will be free to the public 5pm-8pm For those who can’t attend, the show will be streamed live on the Museum’s website.
