With the Glass Coast Weekend in the rearview mirror I am excited to announce the next artist in Habatat's Not Grandma's Glass year long presentation. Our first artist, Morgan Peterson, gave an incredible talk during the month of January. This talk and her exhibition can be viewed on the NotGrandma'sGlass website.
It is an honor to have artist Matt Eskuche be our presenter for the month of February. We have represented Eskuche for close to a decade now and I am a huge supporter of both his career and his work. Matt's work discusses the topic of consumption. What is thrown away and easily discarded in our daily lives. He recreates each sculpture in hot glass to match the size and scale of the real thing. The objects we all toss away have now become important works of art. Read more about him HERE.
it is important to focus attention to the next generation (21st century) artists pushing the medium of glass.
Mark your calendars and RSVP today for this upcoming Saturday, February 13th at 1:00 p.m. ET to join Matt Eskuche and me. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday for this Habatat-Zoom and expect more intriguing and enlighten talks through the year. - Aaron Schey
