Opening in November: Currents of Uncertainty featuring the work of Dean Bensen and Demetra Theofanous.
Habatat is proud to announce Currents of Uncertainty, an extraordinary new exhibition featuring the collaborative and solo works of renowned glass artists Dean Bensen and Demetra Theofanous. The exhibition will officially open on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. A special virtual tour will also be held earlier that day at 1:00 p.m. for those unable to attend in person.
This stunning exhibition showcases the artists' ability to merge technique with natural inspiration, creating immersive installation art that transforms any space. Their collaborative works feature vibrant glass leaves that sweep across walls, forming intricate sculptures that challenge the boundaries of both art and nature. Their material explorations transform glass into beautiful depictions of the natural world, to call attention to the precarious state of the environment and its' interconnectedness with humankind. The artists utilize wind and ocean currents as metaphors to express how quickly life can change, altering our path and our future in an instant.
Habatat, long known for supporting innovative glass art, is thrilled to offer collectors and art enthusiasts an opportunity to experience this exhibition firsthand. All pieces will be available for purchase.
Owners Corey Hampson and Aaron Schey will host the grand opening, welcoming the public to this exciting evening. The event is free of charge with RSVP, and both artists will be present to discuss their work. For those unable to attend in person, a Zoom tour at 1:00 p.m. will offer an intimate look into the artists' process and vision.
All works will be available for purchase, and we invite you to join us for an evening of art, conversation, and inspiration. Admission is free, and the gallery welcomes all to experience this compelling exploration of beauty, uncertainty, and possibility.
