I am inspired by the unintended beauty that emerges from industrially engineered parts—objects that are designed to serve a specific function, with few aesthetic considerations. The purpose of these parts is utilitarian: to carry out a task efficiently with precision and durability. However, without deliberate artistic intention, these functional objects can have great beauty and elegant visual appeal. This appeal is a direct result of mathematical calculations, formulas, and logic
This project is connecting the logic-driven objectives of engineering with the expressive realm of fine art. By reimagining the engineered parts in glass, the intricate design and internal structure can be appreciated for their visual beauty outside the form’s utilitarian purpose.
