My work with glass is rooted in exploration — of depth, transparency, and the subtle ways light can define form. I construct each piece by shaping and sandblasting individual sheets of glass. I then laminate multiple sheets together until the internal movement begins to appear.

Every line and transition must serve the composition; if something feels unresolved, I revisit it until the piece reaches a quiet balance. The goal is not perfection, but to let the process and the material speak clearly without excess.

This sculpture represents that ongoing pursuit: a balance between discipline and spontaneity, between solid form and the illusion of motion. When light passes through the carved layers, the piece changes — it reveals different structures, new depths, and, sometimes, a sense of stillness within movement.

Each sculpture is completed in my Vermont studio and carries the marks of that slow, deliberate dialogue between glass and maker — one that continues long after the piece is finished.
