glass artistsGlass artwork is a rising phenomena in modern culture. As with any other form of artwork, glass sculptures, and glass paintings are as unique as the artists they come from. If you are considering buying any form of glass art, research the glass artists below to find exactly what you are looking for!

Karen LaMonte
Karen is known for her life-sized sculptures in ceramic, bronze, and cast glass as well as her mono-type prints. Her art deals primarily with the central themes of beauty and loss, and exploring the fragility of the human condition through a sartorial lens.

Albert Paley
A modernist metal sculptor, Paley has been an active artist for over 40 years. He was the first metal sculptor to receive the coveted Institute Honors awarded by the American Institute of Architects, the AIA’s highest award to a non-architect. He focuses primarily on how the consumer is emotionally and intellectually affected by his artwork.

Ann Wolff
As one of the founders of the International Studio Glass Movement, Wolff was nationally recognized in the 1960s. She likes to focus on how her material can transport her intentions, choosing glass for its sensual and multi-layered effect. She believes that glass offers a platform for broad reflection about positive and negative forms and technique. Glass to Wolff makes the viewer want to repeatedly rediscover what it has to offer.

Martin Blank
Blank works to include nature in his pieces. Currently, he is capturing a forest’s essence in his most recent collection. To do this, he likes to play with different mediums, believing that “one can never hope to compete with nature, one can only glorify its essence.”

Keke Smith
Smith’s work addresses the themes of sex, birth, and regeneration. As a trailblazer in the late 1980s and early 1990s, her work confronted subjects such as AIDS, gender, and race. Recently, her works have depicted the human condition in relationship to nature.

Judy Chicago
A feminist artist and educator, Chicago is known primarily for her large collaborative art installation pieces, which examine the role of women in history and culture.

As you can see, glass artists are as different as their pieces themselves. Each has something great to offer, so buy one today!
